JOTD: Juice of the Day

I've been trying to make more conscious decisions about what I'm putting into my body and just be better about my overall health so a few months ago I started making green smoothies at home using my oster single serve blender . I would blend kale, spinach , a banana, and half an apple together with water and drink that for breakfast. The oster blender blended it very well and it was smooth but it didn't blend everything smoothly like carrots . So, I wanted to get a real juicer.  

I bought this cuisineart brand juicer for about $35 bucks . I've only used it twice but so far I'm liking it and experimenting with different combinations. 

I used carrots and 2 medium oranges in the first one I made. 

I bought a 1lb bag of carrots from Kroger for .79 and used half the bag. 

The next time I used kale , half a cucumber and 1 medium green apple 

I'll be sure to post more on the recipes or any differences I notice since I've started juicing.

NEW SEW IN: BOBBI BOSS BONELA BRAZILIAN HAIR [BREEZY WAVE]

     Here is a first look at my sew in using the Bobbi Boss Bonela hair I previously mentioned in my other post. I got this sew in on Thursday 10/24 and so far I love it. More pics,video and details below after the jump!


This time I asked my beautician to use a net on my sew in because I've never tried it before and I heard it makes your sew ins last longer. I wanted to make sure I had a part in my hair so I had very little leave out on the top, just enough to cover the tracks. I have a 14,16,18 inch in there. I used all of the 18 inch, some of the 16 and about 2 tracks of the 14 just to give it a layered look. The hair is very soft and I haven't experienced any tangling or matting yet and it's been under beanies and hats. The hair kind of reminds me of Janet Jackson that's the way love goes hair.. lol. LENGTH CHECK 10/13

  So I wanted to do a length check before I got my sew in.
I would say my hair is about 12 inches, somewhere around armpit and brastrap when pulled back. However, I have some scraggly ends I'll be getting cut off before my sew in so that may change the length.

WASH DAY: HAIR REGIMEN

Here is my hair regimen on wash day. I usually wash my hair only once a week and usually air dry either by putting in a bun or using the scarf method. I purchased most of these items from Walmart and my local beauty supply store but I've included links to where you can purchase the items online if you can't find them in your area.
